DNP On Campus Days
More than 30 DNP students from all areas of study came to Columbia March 9- 13. Students spent the first two and a half days on campus practicing physical assessment skills and clinical skills such as biopsy, nerve block, foreign body removal, motivational interviewing, and assessment of confusion and substance use. Experts spoke to students on diabetes management, care of the eye, and Second Victim. Sarah Thompson to lead Sinclair School of Nursing as new dean
University of Missouri Interim Provost Jim Spain announced June 11 that Sarah Thompson, associate vice chancellor of health professions and professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Colorado Denver, has been named dean of the MU Sinclair School of Nursing. SSON Recognized as Stellar School
The Sinclair School of Nursing (SSON) is one of two schools this year to earn the National Student Nurses’ Association’s NSNA Stellar School Chapter Recognition. The award recognizes school chapters for their ongoing involvement in NSNA and their commitment to shared governance and professional development. The NSNA Stellar School Chapter certificate and pins were presented to faculty advisor, Donna Otto, and school chapter president, Annaliese Moore, at the NSNA 66th Annual Convention April 4-8, 2018, in Nashville.
