The Sinclair School of Nursing offers a number of internal nursing-specific scholarships (full list in the drop-down menu below). These awards are made possible through direct giving to the Sinclair School of Nursing by alumni and friends.
Eligibility
Scholarships are available for undergraduate and graduate students. Graduate Certificate students are not eligible for Sinclair School of Nursing scholarships. Pre-Nursing students in the Traditional BSN program must be accepted to or enrolled in the clinical nursing major to be eligible for these awards.
| Aird-LeMone Scholarship | Awarded to non-traditional students with financial need enrolled in the Sinclair School of Nursing. |
| Lenore Alberty Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund | Awarded to undergraduate students from a single-parent home who have been accepted into the clinical nursing program at the Sinclair School of Nursing. For students with average grades who show great potential, a lot of drive and aptitude, and a heart for nursing. |
| Alpha Iota President’s Scholarship Fund | For members, or students likely to become members, of Sigma Theta Tau. Preference for students with interest or participation in research and scholarly work. |
| Nursing Alumni Organization Endowed Scholarship Fund | For students enrolled in the Sinclair School of Nursing. One scholarship for each nursing program for students with a 3.0 GPA or higher. |
| Assistance League Scholarship | For female students in the Accelerated BSN program with financial need, age 25 or older, with 60+ credit hours, minimum 2.75 GPA. Recipients should be US citizens, mid-Missouri residents, and plan to remain in the central Missouri area to practice nursing. Intended for students who have the additional financial responsibilities of children and family. |

| Kandis S. Beaman Memorial Scholarship in Nursing | For students enrolled in the Sinclair School of Nursing who show promise as a nursing candidate, a strong desire to be a nurse, and exhibit financial need. |
| Mary E. Berhorst Endowed Scholarship in Nursing | For graduate nursing students who show evidence of financial need. Preference for students from the following Missouri counties: Audrain, Boone, Camden, Cole, Gasconade, Miller, Moniteau, Maries, Monroe, Montgomery, Osage, and Randolph. |
| Thom Bowling Memorial Scholarship in Nursing | For undergraduate students with financial need enrolled in the Sinclair School of Nursing. |
| Mr. and Mrs. Richard G. Boyd Endowment Fund | Provides scholarships to students enrolled in the Sinclair School of Nursing. |
| Jane Brinton/District 7 MONA Scholarship | For students enrolled in the Sinclair School of Nursing who are members of the Missouri Nurses Association (MONA). Must be residents of one of the following Missouri counties: Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Camden, Cole, Cooper, Gasconade, Howard, Maries, Miller, Moniteau, Montgomery, Osage, or Randolph. |
| Ruth Proctor Bruenig Scholarship Fund in Nursing | Awarded to both undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the Sinclair School of Nursing who graduated from any high school in Boone County, MO. Must meet GPA required for admission to or continuance in the Sinclair School of Nursing. |
| John Arthur Buchroeder and Virginia Freeman Buchroeder Scholarship Fund | For students in the MU Sinclair School of Nursing. |
| Ellen Burge Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing Scholarship Fund | For undergraduate students with an interest in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), nurses working in the NICU at University Hospital who have been accepted to a program at the Sinclair School of Nursing, or graduate students who intend to work or already work part-time in the NICU for University Hospital. Awards may also be given to students who are working or plan to work in pediatric nursing. |
| Sara and Stephen Carney Endowed Pediatric Nursing Scholarship | Awarded to senior undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in the Sinclair School of Nursing who plan to work in the field of pediatrics or care of children. |
| Kennedy Grace Carter Nursing Scholarship | For undergraduate students enrolled in the Sinclair School of Nursing. |
| Mary Ann Hornecker Clark Scholarship in Nursing | For undergraduate students enrolled in the Sinclair School of Nursing. |
| Missouri Coalition for Nurses in Advanced Practice, District 7, Fellowship Fund | For graduate students in good academic standing participating in any advanced practice nursing (APRN) area of study offered by the Sinclair School of Nursing. Applicants should submit an essay outlining how this award would help them fulfill their professional goals. |
| Jane E. Cochran, Ph.D. Memorial Scholarship Fund | For PhD students enrolled in the Sinclair School of Nursing. Preference for students who are studying chronic illness self-management. |
| Betty Crim Endowed Nursing Scholarship | Awarded to full-time undergraduate students in the Sinclair School of Nursing who have demonstrated financial need and are completing clinical nursing courses in a satisfactory manner. Preference for first-generation college students. |
| Rebecca B. Darnall Scholarship in Nursing | For students enrolled in the Accelerated BSN program in the Sinclair School of Nursing. |
| Maggie Deiss Nursing Scholarship | For pediatric nursing students enrolled in the Sinclair School of Nursing who demonstrate financial need and embody excellence of character and commitment to serving others. |
| Gail Selander Dineen Memorial Scholarship Fund | For junior or senior undergraduate students enrolled in the Sinclair School of Nursing. Preference for students in the Traditional BSN program. |
| Phyllis Drennan Endowed Scholarship | Awarded to full-time students in the Sinclair School of Nursing who demonstrate academic achievement and financial need. |
| Eitzen Scholarship Fund | For students who wish to make nursing their profession, have the qualifications necessary for admission to the Sinclair School of Nursing, and need financial assistance. |
