University of Missouri
Curator’s Grant-in-Aid (GIA) Scholarships
The GIA Scholarship is designated exclusively for international undergraduate and graduate students. The scholarship is awarded on a single-semester basis and is based on an evaluation of academic merit, financial need, campus involvement and anticipated graduation date. Graduate GIA Scholarships waive between one and nine credit hours of tuition and all non-resident fees for one semester. These awards are not automatically renewable but must be applied for each semester. The Curator’s Grant-in-Aid Scholarship can be found in ScholarshipUniverse. Application period for fall semester funding is October 1 – November 15; Application period for spring semester funding is March 1 – April 15. Global Tiger Scholarships
The Mizzou Alumni Association is committed to supporting a global campus. An important part of that support includes scholarship opportunities for returning international students. Applications for Mizzou Alumni Association scholarships are only accepted through ScholarshipUniverse. Students must submit the application by January 7. Contact Mizzou Financial Aid for additional tips, or if you have issues accessing ScholarshipUniverse. Recipients, as a part of the scholarship award, agree to provide service to the alumni association during the school year in which the award is received, as needed. External Scholarships and Fellowships
External scholarships and fellowships are available via competitive application for international graduate students. Each external organization has specific criteria. International applicants interested in pursuing one of these options need to review options and apply early. P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund
The P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for selected international women for graduate study in the United States and Canada. The maximum award amount is $12,500, depending on need. Eligibility forms are accepted between September 15 and December 15 each year. Application forms are due February 1st each year.
