Dr. Tamara Tinnin brings more than 30 years of nursing experience across diverse adult and pediatric health care settings. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the Sinclair School of Nursing in 2015, with a specialty in Pediatric Primary Care.

Throughout her career, Tinnin has provided comprehensive primary care services tailored to the unique needs of the populations and communities she serves. Her early clinical practice focused on the assessment and management of chronic pediatric conditions, particularly asthma, with an emphasis on obesity and cardiometabolic risk factors.

Over nine years in two Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) systems, Tinnin expanded her leadership and clinical impact, including serving as coordinator of a school-based health center network. These experiences reinforced her commitment to accessible, integrated care for children and adolescents.

Tinnin’s practice experience combines pediatric primary care with a strong focus on behavioral and mental health. Recognizing the growing prevalence of conditions such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety and depression among pediatric patients, she earned certification as a Pediatric Mental Health Specialist in 2022. Her clinical and educational work emphasizes the integration of physical and mental healthcare to promote the overall well-being of children and adolescents.
