Dr. Ament-Sturtevant, brings more than 22 years of emergency medicine experience to her work as a clinician, educator, and advocate. Her scholarly work examines barriers to healthcare for transgender and gender-diverse populations, and her ongoing professional goals include advancing affirming care for transgender youth and adults through nurse-led interventions, curriculum development, and community partnerships, while expanding education in forensic and behavioral health.
