Krista Hughes, EdS, MHA, RN, is a 2000 graduate of the University of Missouri Sinclair School of Nursing with more than 25 years of experience in nursing practice, leadership, research and education. Her career has included emergency medicine, cardiac and neonatal intensive care, autism and neurodevelopmental pediatrics, autism research, women’s health administration, school nursing and health sciences education.
At Mizzou, her teaching focuses on foundational nursing education, including pharmacology, fundamentals and assessment, simulation and clinical learning experiences, with an emphasis on developing students’ clinical knowledge, judgment and skills.
