John “Theo” Theobald, DNP(c), MSA, MA, BSN, BSOE, CMSRN, is an assistant teaching professor at the University of Missouri Sinclair School of Nursing and a certified medical-surgical registered nurse. He is completing his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Missouri, where his scholarly work focuses on evidence-based strategies to improve nurse retention, workforce development and patient outcomes. Before entering nursing, Theobald served more than 20 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a captain. He is a recipient of the Bronze Star.
