Following her initial retirement, Muegge returned to service during COVID-19 for two years as a contact tracer and vaccinator at Missouri State University, reflecting her enduring commitment to public health and community well-being.
Muegge has shared her expertise through state and local presentations, published articles on ambulatory care and immunization safety and mentored students and professional nurses in evidence-based practice. She and her husband, Dave, are dedicated supporters of the Sinclair School of Nursing and were pleased to underwrite the Muegge Conference Room. Through her leadership and service, Muegge has made a lasting impact on nursing in Missouri and beyond.
