Bio and Professional Experience
Dr. Geden joined the School of Nursing in 1976 following completion of her doctoral studies in educational psychology at the University of Missouri. She was inducted as a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing in 1990. She continues to be an active researcher, collaborating with Dr. Linda Bullock and others. Her research foci included assessing techniques to assist adults in smoking cessation, protecting children from environmental tobacco smoke, and exploring how adults manage their self-care within the context of their living situations. She maintains an active practice as a family nurse practitioner.
