The Nursing Scholarship Program is a joint endeavor of the School of Nursing and the Honors College.

Qualified high school seniors, MU freshmen and transfer students can be guaranteed admission to the clinical nursing major. The criteria for admission for high school seniors are an ACT composite score of 29 or higher, or their equivalent SAT score, and rank in the top 10 percent of the high school graduating class. For current students, the criterion is a 3.5 GPA after 30 hours of college credit.

Transfer students must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA after 30 hours of college credit. All scholar-students also must be admitted to the Honors College. Once admitted to the program, continued eligibility requires maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher and completing a minimum of 12 hours of Honors College courses (before starting the clinical nursing major).
