They have two sons, Ben, married to Melissa from (Perth, Australia ) and Matt, married to Lucy (from Cornwall, England). Three grandchildren, Clemmie, Toby and Kia Greatest life lesson learned: 1) Family is most important!; 2) Hire the best people and then let them fly! Original hometown: LaCrosse, Wisconsin Favorite subject in nursing school: leadership courses Most influential mentor or teacher: 1) Mom and Dad; 2) Dr. Eva Erickson Most embarrassing moment: Having my picture on the front page of the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Oh mercy, I about died. (The picture captures Porter standing behind President Clinton during his visit to the campus, with arm raised and mouth open.) Future plans: 1) Visiting my grandchildren who live in England and Australia; 2) Volunteering Most people don't know is that I:danced in a go-go cage in the 60s. I also won the girls powder puff trophy for ice-car racing. |
