Nominated for MU Nursing Award

COLUMBIA , Mo. – Danielle Key, of St. Louis, Mo., was recently nominated for the 2008 Nursing Alumni Organization's 5th -Semester Nursing Award for Overall Excellence from the Sinclair School of Nursing at the University of Missouri. The award recognizes potential for clinical proficiency, academic excellence and professional commitment.

Key, a 2006 graduate of Cor Jesu Academy, is the daughter of Kevin and Celeste Key.

“I have started on my path to becoming a nurse, and hopefully to changing lives of patients in a positive way,” said Key. “Even though my journey has just begun, I already know it is something I will love. My classes are showing me how big of an impact I can have on my patients.”

MU is the largest and oldest campus of the state's major public research institutions. MU's primary mission in research and graduate education provides enhanced opportunities and challenges in the undergraduate areas of humanities, arts and sciences, and selected professional fields. The University provides a basis for service to the people of the state through outreach programs.
