Bio and Professional Experience

Dr. Koeplin retired from the School of Nursing as an Associate Professor Emeritus in 2001. For the last three years of her tenure she was Director of the Undergraduate Program. From 2001-2002 she designed and achieved state approval for the accelerated option in the BSN program. As a member of the faculty, Dr. Koeplin received numerous honors for teaching, including five awards from students, the Provost’s Outstanding Junior Faculty award, and the William T. Kemper award for excellence in teaching. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, as well as a recipient of the Unique Contribution Award from the North American Nursing Diagnosis Association. She was honored as Honorary Alumni of the School of Nursing in 2007. Now retired, Dr. Koeplin continues to influence nursing through her textbooks and as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the College of Nursing, the University of Ohio.
