Take "Stock" in Our Faculty

Taking “Stock” In Our Faculty acknowledges the important role faculty play in the success of schools of nursing. By offering an opportunity to purchase shares of “stock” at $25 per share, the collective “stockholders” will be working to endow a new, named faculty position in the MU Sinclair School of Nursing, A Nursing Shareholder Faculty Scholar.

A recent AACN study regarding nursing faculty salaries showed that MU has yet to reach the 50th percentile nationally for nursing faculty salaries. Named faculty positions allow Mizzou to attract and retain top-notch faculty, in today's competitive job market.

Knowing that donors united in a cause can affect great changes — we are hoping you will consider helping in this appeal to show our faculty we place a high value in what they do. Most could be making more money in practice — but instead choose to educate future generations of nurses to help offset the growing national demand.

Every donation, in $25 increments will help! Although you can purchase as many “shares” as you like, one suggestion has been for alumni to purchase the number of shares as the years since they have graduated. You can also honor a loved one with “stock shares” or even be recognized as a major shareholder with gifts of 50 shares or more. For those of you who are interested in also joining the Nightingale Society, gifts of stock can also qualify you for annual membership.
