Programs

The School of Nursing has implemented numerous programs in the areas of rural settings, home health care, school nursing, family practice and more. These programs have the potential to improve patient care in Missouri and beyond.

Programs of this caliber require an unwavering commitment to quality, as well as an investment of time and resources. In our next 100 years of nursing education, we seek to expand our programs, thereby broadening our students’ experience while meeting societal needs.

Our priorities include:

  • TigerPlace. This 33-unit retirement community was initiated as a multidisciplinary service, education and research project at the MU Sinclair School of Nursing. This innovative residence enables residents to “age in place” at one location. It is a model of gerontological education, research, care delivery and environmental design for the 21st century.

  • Interdisciplinary Center on Aging, the University’s cornerstone for rigorous gerontology research, involves an interdisciplinary network of more than 100 faculty members and community service professionals in the field of aging. By supporting new and experienced researchers, the center’s innovative work will enhance the health of older adults.
