Nursing Specialty: Clinical Nurse Instructor. Responsible for teaching student nurses as they learn to do direct patient care in their first clinical experience. Carol also teaches a course to students on how to understand how disease effects the body in their patients so they can plan how best to help them get well or be comfortable.

Currently not involved in conducting research due to emphasis on teaching role. Past research has included published works on infection control, stress management, and body temperature monitoring techniques. Specialized in clinical-based research.

Interest Area: Educator and clinical practice supervising student nurses at Rusk Rehabilitation Center. Carol's vast array of experience adds a richness to her clinical and classroom teaching. Students benefit from her ability to draw on her store of nursing experiences to enhance her instruction.
