Lila Pennington is an Instructor of Nursing at the MU Sinclair School of Nursing, University of Missouri-Columbia. She has both her BSN and MS(N) from the University of Missouri-Columbia and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has been teaching at the Sinclair School of Nursing for the past seven years in the Nurse Practitioner area of study. Teaching responsibilities have included advanced health assessment, clinical pharmacology, adult primary care, pediatric primary care, advanced practice nursing issues and trends, and clinical site visits. She also maintains a one-day a week clinical practice in rural public health and family practice settings. Prior to teaching at the Sinclair School of Nursing, she was community health nursing consultant and family nurse practitioner with the Missouri Department of Health for 19.5 years.
