Tonya teaches obstetrics at the clinical sites in both undergraudate and accelerated options. She has worked in this area of nursing for more than 17 years. She is a member of the Missouri Minority Health Council and spent several weeks working with the Hispanic population in South Texas in women's health clinics. To keep up on her skills, Tonya also works in a nursing home in her community of Slater, Mo.
