Faculty Position Openings

 

Tenure-Track/Tenured Nursing Professor

Applications, inquiries, and nominations are invited for a faculty position at the MU Sinclair School Nursing beginning Fall Semester 2008. This is a tenure-track/tenured position with academic rank (assistant to full professor) to be determined in accordance with the candidate's experience and research productivity. An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field is required by start date.

The preferred candidate is expected to contribute to the research, service and educational missions of the School of Nursing and the University.  Particular consideration will be given to candidates with a demonstrated NIH research funding trajectory. The University of Missouri is a Carnegie I Research institution and the School of Nursing is ranked 3rd in the nation for nursing research productivity by the Chronicle of Higher Education.  Current funded programs of research include technology use and safety in long-term care, maintaining function in older adults, injury and violence, human-animal interaction, medication adherence, and breast cancer survivorship.

Instructor of Nursing

Two position are currently available

Applications, inquiries, and nominations are invited for two 9-month faculty teaching position at the MU Sinclair School Nursing beginning Fall Semester 2008. These position are for individuals who have experience in teaching undergraduate nursing courses. Possible areas of teaching expertise are: mential health; maternal/child health and/or community health.

Masters degree in nursing and two years teaching experience are required. PhD in nursing or related field is preferable.
