Alyssa Goldberg, 8th semester nursing student, and Brittany Shollar, 7th semester nursing students were inducted into Mizzou ’39 February 27, 2017. Each year, the Mizzou Alumni Association Student Board presents the Mizzou ’39 Award to 39 outstanding seniors, who are chosen for their academic achievement, leadership and service to Mizzou and the community.
Alyssa is originally from Phoenix, Arizona, and was 2016 Mizzou Homecoming Queen, Summer Welcome Leader and Student Coordinator and a member of the Rockin’ Against Multiple Sclerosis Steering Commity. She is also a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, the Mizzou Women’s Club Lacrosse team and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors Society.
Brittany is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and is involved in many service organizations. She is the President of Best Buddies Mizzou, the External Chair of Relations for Tiger Buddies and a camp counselor for Camp Kesem, a recreational camp for kids of parents with cancer. She is also the Vice President of the University of Missouri Club Softball. She chose Gretchen Gregory, Instructor of Nursing, MS(N), RN as her mentor.
